Road to Madrid is the Season One championship outcome of the Ballito Padel Series: the two Grand Final championship teams earn the championship prize, centred on a padel experience in Madrid, Spain.

12 Qualifying Events. 12 Grand Final Teams. 2 Championship Teams. One Road to Madrid.
Season One begins on the courts of Ballito.
Each qualifying event sends one winning doubles team to the Grand Final.
On 20 November 2027, twelve qualified teams compete to become the Men’s and Women’s Ballito Padel Series Championship Teams.
The two Championship Teams then continue the Road to Madrid in early December 2027.

How the championship is decided
Season One consists of twelve qualifying events — six Men’s and six Women’s. One winning doubles team from each qualifying event advances to the Grand Final.
The Grand Final consists of six Men’s teams and six Women’s teams, and determines one Men’s Championship Team and one Women’s Championship Team.
These two Championship Teams are the Season One prize recipients, subject to the applicable Series Terms & Conditions.

Each Championship Team consists of two players. Any further allocation of the team prize between the two players is governed by the official Series Terms & Conditions.
The Madrid experience
The Madrid component is intended to provide the winning players with a padel-focused experience in Madrid, Spain, in early December 2027.
Final travel arrangements, dates, bookings and experience components remain subject to the Series Terms & Conditions and final confirmation. Specific travel and itinerary details have not yet been confirmed and will be communicated once finalised.
Cash travel contribution
The current approved prize structure provides a R20,000 cash travel contribution per Championship Team — R40,000 in total across both Championship Teams. This forms part of the published R100,000 total Season One championship prize value; it is not additional to it.
Prize fulfilment & alternatives
The detailed mechanics of prize fulfilment — including how the Madrid experience and cash travel contribution are delivered, and any provisions regarding alternatives or substitution — are governed by the official Series Terms & Conditions, which are being finalised and will be published, versioned and dated on this website.

- valid qualifying participation
- Grand Final participation

Important prize conditions
The championship prize conditions are set out in sections 13 and 14 of the Series Rules & Terms. The following principles apply:
- the prize is subject to Series eligibility and participation requirements
- the prize is non-transferable, except where the official Series Terms & Conditions expressly provide otherwise
- valid passports, any applicable visas and personal travel documentation remain each player’s own responsibility
- travel insurance and personal expenses not expressly included in the prize remain each player’s own responsibility
- travel timing is subject to final confirmation
- prize fulfilment is subject to the applicable prize terms
