Series rules & Terms.

1. 01Ballito Padel Series Season One 2027 is a Men's and Women's doubles padel championship played in Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal.
2. 02Season One consists of 12 qualifying events: 6 Men's qualifying events and 6 Women's qualifying events.
3. 03One winning doubles team from each qualifying event qualifies for the Grand Final.
4. 0412 teams therefore qualify for the Grand Final: 6 Men's teams and 6 Women's teams.
5. 05The Grand Final is played on Saturday, 20 November 2027.
6. 06The Grand Final produces 2 Championship Teams: 1 Men's Championship Team and 1 Women's Championship Team.
7. 07The Championship Teams receive the Road to Madrid championship prize, with the Madrid padel experience taking place in early December 2027.

The Grand Final is a separate championship event and is not a thirteenth qualifying event.

1. 01Qualifying events are contested in two divisions: the Men's Division and the Women's Division. A player enters the division applicable to them.
2. 02A player must hold a Playtomic account in order to enter and pay for a qualifying event, and must complete BPS Series registration on this website.
3. 03Minimum age for participation. To be confirmed
4. 04Residency or location requirements, if any. To be confirmed
5. 05Players are responsible for their own fitness and medical suitability to participate.

Items marked “to be confirmed” are part of the Season One administration and will be published in this document before entries open. They will not be applied retrospectively to entries already accepted.

1. 01Every entry is a doubles team of two players competing in the same division.
2. 02A team entering a Men's qualifying event competes in the Men's Division; a team entering a Women's qualifying event competes in the Women's Division.
3. 03Both players of a team must individually complete BPS Series registration. Partners are linked to one another in My BPS.
4. 04A team is entered for a specific qualifying event. Entering an event does not enter a team into any other event.

1. 01Playing level is measured using each player's Playtomic rating.
2. 02A combined team level cap of 7.0 applies: the two players' Playtomic ratings added together may not exceed 7.0.
3. 03The point at which the rating is measured — at entry, on the event date, or another date. To be confirmed
4. 04The effect of a rating change after entry has been accepted. To be confirmed
5. 05BPS may rely on the player's Playtomic profile as evidence of rating, and may ask a player to make that profile visible for verification.
6. 06A player's rating recorded on their BPS profile is shown as player-submitted until BPS has verified it. Verification is performed by BPS administrators only, and a rating reverts to player-submitted whenever the player edits it.
7. 07Where incorrect rating information materially affects eligibility, section 17 (Corrections and misrepresentation) applies.

The combined 7.0 team level cap is the approved Season One rule. The measurement date and post-entry rating change rules will be added to this section once confirmed.

1. 01Players must enter the applicable qualifying event through Playtomic.
2. 02Payment of the entry fee is completed through Playtomic. BPS does not process the qualifying-event payment.
3. 03The entry fee is R1,100 per doubles team, being R550 per player, payable via Playtomic.
4. 04Registration on the BPS website does not by itself secure a place in a qualifying event. Only a completed Playtomic entry secures a place.
5. 05BPS registration must be completed after Playtomic entry and payment, subject to these rules.
6. 06Entry status for each event — entry opening soon, entry open, sold out, entries closed or event completed — is published on the Series calendar and on each event page.

1. 01Each player registers individually on the BPS website and holds one permanent BPS player profile across all seasons.
2. 02Partners link to one another in My BPS to form the team record for an event.
3. 03BPS does not verify Playtomic bookings automatically. Team entries are confirmed administratively against the event entry list.
4. 04Players are responsible for the accuracy of the information on their BPS profile.
5. 05Contact details supplied during registration are kept private and are not published.

1. 01Each qualifying event is a single-day doubles event played at the host venue for that event.
2. 02One winning doubles team is determined at each qualifying event.
3. 03Group / round-robin structure, knockout progression, semi-finals and final format. To be confirmed
4. 04Scoring method and tie-break rules. To be confirmed
5. 05Match scheduling, warm-up, court allocation and late arrival / no-show rules. To be confirmed
6. 06Draws and match scheduling for each event are determined by the event organisers on the day.

The detailed playing format is finalised with the host venues as the 2027 calendar is confirmed and will be published here before entries open for the affected event.

1. 01One winning doubles team from each qualifying event advances to the Grand Final.
2. 02The qualifying team consists of the two players who won that event together.
3. 03Qualification is subject to eligibility and compliance with these Series rules.
4. 04Qualification is earned by the team and is not transferable to another team or another player.
5. 05A qualification record is only confirmed once the event result has been verified by BPS.
6. 06Any substitution is governed by these Terms & Conditions and is not available except where expressly provided for.

1. 01A team that has qualified for the Grand Final may not qualify again during Season One.
2. 02Whether a player may enter more than one qualifying event before qualifying, and whether the same partnership must be maintained. To be confirmed
3. 03Whether a player who has already qualified may enter a further qualifying event with a different partner. To be confirmed
4. 04Whether substitute partnerships are permitted after entry. To be confirmed
5. 05Entry fees are paid to and administered by Playtomic. Any refund or credit is subject to the Playtomic and host-venue terms applicable to that booking.

Only the first rule above is settled for Season One. The remaining re-entry positions will be confirmed in this section before entries open.

1. 01Capacity depends on the host venue and the configuration of the individual event. The capacity applicable to an event is published on that event's page once confirmed.
2. 02A minimum field of 8 doubles teams is required for a qualifying event to proceed.
3. 03If the minimum field is not reached, BPS may reschedule the event, move it to another date or venue, or adjust the playing format so that the event can proceed.
4. 04Where an event does not proceed, entry fees were paid through Playtomic and any refund or credit is administered by Playtomic and the host venue under their applicable terms.
5. 05Entered players will be notified of any change to an event by BPS using the contact details on their registration.

1. 01A qualifying event may be postponed, rescheduled or cancelled because of weather, court unavailability, venue issues, operational disruption or other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of BPS or the host venue.
2. 02Where an event is affected, BPS may change the date, the venue, the start time, or the playing format so that the event can be completed.
3. 03Entered players will be notified of any material change using the contact details on their registration, and the Series calendar and event page will be updated.
4. 04Entry fees are paid through Playtomic. Any refund, credit or rebooking is administered by Playtomic and the host venue under their applicable terms, and is not controlled by BPS.
5. 05BPS is not responsible for travel, accommodation or other personal costs incurred in connection with an event that is postponed, rescheduled or cancelled.

1. 01Only teams that have qualified through a Season One qualifying event, and that remain eligible under these rules, may compete in the Grand Final.
2. 02The Grand Final is contested in both divisions and produces 1 Men's Championship Team and 1 Women's Championship Team.

5. 05Qualification is earned by the two players who won the qualifying event; substitution is not available except where expressly provided for in these Terms & Conditions.

1. 01The total Season One championship prize value is R100,000.
2. 02There are 2 Championship Teams: 1 Men's and 1 Women's.
3. 03Each Championship Team receives a total prize value of R50,000.
4. 04Each Championship Team's R50,000 comprises a R30,000 Madrid padel experience value and a R20,000 cash travel contribution.
5. 05The R100,000 is a total championship prize value and is not a cash prize.
6. 06The Madrid padel experience takes place in early December 2027.

1. 01The Madrid padel experience takes place in early December 2027. Exact dates are confirmed with the Championship Teams once finalised.
2. 02The R30,000 Madrid padel experience value per Championship Team is fulfilled as an experience, not as cash.
3. 03The R20,000 cash travel contribution per Championship Team is paid as a contribution towards the team's travel costs.
4. 04Each player is responsible for holding a valid passport and any visa required for travel, and for their own travel insurance and personal expenses.
5. 05Costs beyond the stated prize value remain the responsibility of the Championship Team.
6. 06Booking responsibility, travel provider and the position where a Championship Team player is unable to travel. To be confirmed
7. 07No cash alternative to the Madrid padel experience is offered.

No travel provider, itinerary or booking has been arranged or announced. Prize conditions will be confirmed in writing with the Championship Teams.

1. 01Players are expected to compete in a spirit of sportsmanship and to treat opponents, officials, venue staff and spectators with respect.
2. 02Abusive, threatening or discriminatory behaviour is not permitted.
3. 03Damage to venue property is the responsibility of the player concerned, and venue rules apply at all times.
4. 04Cheating, manipulation of results and deliberate misrepresentation of rating or eligibility are not permitted.
5. 05Where conduct requires a response, the proportionate sanctions available are: a warning, a match penalty, disqualification from the event, or removal from the Series in a serious or repeated case.
6. 06A sanction beyond an on-court warning or match penalty is applied by BPS after review, and the player is informed of the reason.

1. 01BPS may photograph and film qualifying events and the Grand Final for Series reporting and promotion, including on the BPS website and BPS social media channels.
2. 02General event photography and videography may include players, teams and spectators present at a public sporting event.
3. 03A player profile image is optional. It is supplied by the player and is used for their BPS profile and Series presentation.
4. 04Use of a player's image in sponsor or partner promotional material is only made where the player has agreed to that use.
5. 05A player may ask BPS to remove a specific image of them from BPS channels, and BPS will act on that request where it is reasonably able to.

1. 01BPS collects the player's name, email address and mobile number, together with the optional profile details the player chooses to add, and how the player found the Series.
2. 02This information is collected to create and maintain the player's permanent BPS profile, to administer events, results and qualification records, and to send essential Series communications.
3. 03Essential Series communications relating to entries, events, results and qualification form part of Series administration.
4. 04Consent to receive Dynamic Consult financial services marketing is entirely separate and optional. It may be declined or withdrawn at any time and never affects participation.
5. 05Every consent given or withdrawn is stored with a timestamp in terms of the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
6. 06Contact details are kept private and are not published.

1. 01Information reasonably necessary to operate a public sporting competition is published on the BPS website.
2. 02This includes player and team names, event participation, match results, standings, qualification status and championship status.
3. 03Private contact details are never published.
4. 04Results are published once verified by BPS.

1. 01Operational decisions on the day — scheduling, court allocation, playing conditions and on-court incidents — are made by the event organiser, together with the host club representative and the event MC.
2. 02Those on-the-day decisions are final for the purpose of completing the event.
3. 03A decision that affects eligibility, a recorded result or qualification may be reviewed by BPS after the event.
4. 04A result is only final once BPS has verified it. BPS will inform the affected players of the outcome of a review.

1. 01BPS may correct incorrect player details, duplicate profiles, incorrect rating information, incorrect event results and administrative errors.
2. 02A correction that affects a recorded result or a qualification record is made only after review, and the affected players are informed.
3. 03Where information is deliberately misrepresented and that materially affects eligibility, BPS may review the entry and, where warranted, disqualify the team from the affected event or from the Series.
4. 04Entry fees paid through Playtomic are administered by Playtomic and the host venue under their applicable terms.

1. 01The Series structure, calendar, venues and event details may be updated where reasonably necessary.
2. 02Dates and venues may change. Players will be notified of material changes.
3. 03Participation is subject to the latest published version of these Terms & Conditions, identified by the version and last-updated date shown on this page.
4. 04Event-specific venue rules apply at the host venue in addition to these rules.
5. 05Where a change is made after entries open for an affected event, the change and its date are recorded in the version history of this document.
